Using Tree Hammocks Straps To Save Your Tree From Damage

Hammock. When you hear that word what do you think of? Do you see a white rope hammock suspended between two trees, possibly palm trees? What else is in your mind’s picture? Do you see someone lying on that hammock sipping a cold drink? Yes, a hammock is the picture of relaxation.

Of course these days you can purchase free standing hammocks that rely on a stand that you can move where you like, so it is not necessary to have trees for hanging your hammock. However, it is undoubtedly a more traditional way to hang tree hammocks.

Tree hammocks are just perfect for sleeping in while on camping trips. In the forest areas there are plenty of trees that are situated perfectly to allow for setting up a hammock.

If you happen to have two trees in your backyard, you couldn’t find a better use for them than to hang a hammock between them for you and your family to enjoy hours on end relaxing outside with the sights and sounds of nature surrounding you.

In order to hang tree hammocks you need to have the proper hammock accessories. Of course it is important for the hammock to hang securely and for there to be no fear of rope breaking or sliding down the tree.

In many cases the way a tree hammock is hung is by drilling into the tree to anchor a hook there. Then a ring is hooked on and it is considered secure enough as it is anchored within the tree. This may feel safe, but it doesn’t feel that great for the poor tree.

Tree straps can be bought for your hammock that don’t require any drilling at all. As a matter of fact you won’t have to damage the tree in any way. The straps are designed to fit snugly around your tree with the weight on the hammock causing it to hug the tree tighter, giving you security in the hammock.

Think of that. The straps hug your tree, rather than you harming your tree. Lovely opposites. So the question is why would you choose to drill into your tree if you didn’t have to?

Tree hammock straps come in brown so not only do they not harm your tree, they also don’t detract much from the beautiful appearance of the trunk of your tree.

If you want the most traditional type of hammock, a tree hammock is the way to go, and if you are interested in saving your tree some damage and having ugly hardware sticking out of it, a hammock tree strap is just what you are looking for.
